Bastianini seizes front row start at Spielberg. Third row for Di Giannantonio
Today’s Qualifying for the Austrian Grand Prix at the #redbullring saw a very positive result for the Gresini #racing Team #moto3: #eneabastianini set the third fastest time, which will allow him to start tomorrow from the front row on the grid, while his teammate #fabiodigiannantonio will line up his Honda NSF250RW machine on the third row with the ninth fastest time.
Clocking 1’36”600, Bastianini snatched a front row start for the third consecutive time after the two pole positions conquered at Assen and Sachsenring: the ideal time of the 18-year-old rider from Rimini, made by his best partial times achieved in the 4 sectors of the track, indicates an excellent 1’36”121, which would allow him to start in front of everyone. This bodes well for tomorrow’s race, where Enea probably will have to battle with Mir Binder and Quartararo’s KTMs.
After some issues yesterday afternoon, also the other Gresini #racing Team #moto3 rider, rookie #fabiodigiannantonio, enjoyed a good Qualifying today: the 17-year-old from Rome, already fast this morning in the third and final free practice session, set a good 1’36”950 which will allow him to start from the ninth position, a performance that equals his best qualifying of the season, got last June at Assen.
