New record in Mexico: The Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez was the venue for the Mexican Grand Prix last weekend. The circuit in Mexico City has so far been a happy hunting ground for the Silver Arrows. Last year, #nicorosberg secured his first victory in Mexico, and this year it was Lewis Hamilton's turn to stand on the top spot of the podium. GP win number 51 for Hamilton was enough to put him on level pegging with Alain Prost on the all-time leader board. Only record F1 championship winner Michael Schumacher now has more victories (91) to his name than Lewis and 'The Professor'. Impressive: 30 of his 51 GP wins over the last four seasons have been in a Silver Arrow. On the way to wrapping up the sixth one-two victory of the season for the team, both drivers made only one pit stop each, switching from the soft to the medium tyre. And on both stops, the pit crew put in a phenomenal performance: the times taken to change wheels for Lewis (2.09 seconds) and Nico (2.12 seconds) were separated by only three hundredths of a second!

Welcome to the team: Mercedes-AMG has a new recruit for the 2017 DTM season. From next year, Edoardo Mortara will be #racing for the brand with the three-pointed star in the DTM. "In Edo, we have not only signed an experienced driver for our team, but also a really great guy who will be a great fit for our team," says Head of Mercedes-AMG DTM Ulrich Fritz. "We are really looking forward to working with him."

Changeover for 2017: Newcomer Edoardo Mortara will be driving one of the six DTM cars belonging to the team in 2017, all of which are to be entered by HWA. "It is of course a pity that the successful collaboration with Mücke Motorsport and ART Grand Prix is not being taken any further in the DTM," says Ulrich Fritz. "Peter Mücke and his team have been a loyal partner to us since 2005. The way the entire Mercedes-AMG DTM Team celebrated at the Lausitzring when Mücke secured their maiden win in the series shows how much we all appreciate what Mücke Motorsport do." In other #racing series such as Formula 3, the collaboration with Mücke Motorsport continues unaffected. "ART GP have also done an incredible job in the past two years," stresses Fritz. "To be right on song from the outset, despite having no prior experience of the DTM, that's something quite rare." ART GP in the shape of Gary Paffett made five podium appearances over the past two DTM seasons.
