Tosema increases Sac Lead after day 1 win

Indonesian Jefri Tosema increased his lead in the #suzuki ASIAN CHALLENGE series after an exciting first day at the final round at Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand on Saturday.

With six riders in the chase for the title, Race 1 was anticipated to be an exciting one and saw the leading contenders – all riding the new 2016 #suzuki F150 machines fighting for top positions. At the start, 14 Arsyad Rusydi from Singapore took the lead, but as race moved on, the leaders changed at virtually every corner, but unfortunately series points-leader, 12 Rozaliman Zakaria (Malaysia), crashed out.

The nose-to-tail battle continued until the final corner of the last lap, with 10 riders going for the win, but it was 20 Tosema who took his first lead of the race at this corner and won the race, making him the new points-leader. 5 Jagan Kumar (India) came in second, while 30 Rizal Feriyadi (Indonesia) rounded-out the podium finishers. With one more race to go, there are still three riders in the title chase. Tosema now leads the chase with 152 points, 87 Muhammad Sapril (Indonesia) is in second with 130 points and Rozaliman is 3rd place with 127 points.
