FORMULA E: DS AUTOMOBILES AIMS FOR MORE POINTS IN SAO PAULO!
- DS Automobiles and its partner PENSKE AUTOSPORT is ready to contest the Sao Paulo E-Prix on March 16
- Having accumulated a solid points haul in Saudi Arabia; DS PENSKE arrives in Brazil classified second in the teams’ rankings
- Jean-Eric Vergne is currently third in the drivers’ classification while Stoffel Vandoorne is 11th
On Saturday March 16, the city of Sao Paulo in Brazil will welcome the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship for the second time since the series was created. The 2.95-kilometre Sambadrome consists of long straights and tight corners, setting the scene for a race that’s sure to be action-packed.
After a strong start to the season, the DS PENSKE team (currently second in the teams’ championship) is preparing to return to the track where Stoffel Vandoorne set a magnificent pole position last year. More determined than ever, the 2022 champion from Belgium, is determined to bring home as many points as possible for the Franco-American team.
Buoyed by a pole position and an excellent second place a few weeks ago at Diriyah in Saudi Arabia, Frenchman Jean-Eric Vergne, champion in 2018 and 2019, is also very motivated in his pursuit of another podium.
One thing is for sure: the know-how of the entire squad, as well as the performance of the DS E-TENSE FE23, will be the key aces up the team’s sleeve for this fourth round of Season 10.
The Sao Paulo E-Prix will get underway at 18:00 CET on March 16.

“Sao Paulo marks the start of a very intense period during Season 10. Throughout the last six weeks the team has worked hard on the software of our DS E-TENSE FE23, which should correspond to an improvement in performance. Although our season has got off to a good start, we’re still very aware of the ground that we need to make up to some of our rivals. Last year, we were on pole in Sao Paulo and we also showed a good level of general performance. So strengthened by that previous experience and the work carried out up to now, as well as the talents of the team and drivers, we embark on this latest adventure full of confidence!”
