World RX - Estering (20-21 September) - it must surely come togrther for the Team Peugeot-Hansen soon
The Estering circuit in Germany is the second oldest venue on the FIA World Rallycross Championship schedule and hosted the ninth round of the series this weekend. Team Peugeot-Hansen drivers Timur Timerzyanov and Timmy Hansen qualified first and third at the Intermediate Classification to earn a strong points haul for the team and once again display fantastic pace in front of 10,000 German spectators.
The positions were thanks to a set of good heat races, the highlight of which was an inspired tyre choice in heat four by the experienced team, running on wet tyres in changeable conditions.
Starting together on the front row of the grid for the first semi-final, both drivers ran wide at the first corner and were then stuck in the dust thrown up by other competitors. Hansen made it through to the final and finished sixth, Timerzyanov finished sixth in semifinal one. The team maintain their third position in the team championship standings...
