Nissan GT Academy Team RJN completed an ideal preparation for this weekend's Blancpain GT Series #endurance #event in Monza and next month's Nürburgring 24 Hour after a completing a solid 10th place finish in the 'Ring Qualifying.
Legendary German squad Zakspeed also made its GT-R debut in the qualifying race with German GT Academy winners Marc Gassner and Florian Strauss driving to a strong sixth place finish.
"We finished 10th overall, and everyone was very happy to now be locked in for the top 30 qualifying session for the #nurburgring 24 Hours," said Ordóñez. "We learned a lot this weekend and completed a lot of miles. Kazuki was able to complete a double stint and everybody had the chance to sample dry, damp and wet conditions. The team worked hard on the pit stops, and I think we'll learn a lot from this race that will be very beneficial for the 24 hour."
Ordóñez and Buncombe will now head to Monza this week for the first #endurance round of the Blancpain GT Series.
Mitsunosi Takaboshi returns to join Ordóñez and Buncombe in the No.23 car while the No.22 GT-R will be driven by Sean Walkinshaw with last year's GT Academy winners Matt Simmons (International) and Romain Sarazin (Europe).
