Mark Webber helps #porsche retain manufacturers’ World Endurance title.
When the Australian hangs up his helmet after the final #fiaworldendurancechampionship race on November 19 in Bahrain he will do so still at the peak of his powers.
Leading from halfway around the opening lap, the reigning world champions controlled the race from start to finish and crossed the line 59-seconds ahead of their nearest rivals.
Webber said: "Brendon was flying today and Timo’s middle stint was really nice. It was an amazing day for #porsche and we are really happy to have contributed to it.”
With their cars coming first and fourth, #porsche moved onto 301 points ensuring neither Audi nor Toyota can catch them.
Webber, Bernhard and Hartley also won the Drivers’ Championship in 2015 but this time it is their teammates Romain Dumas, Neel Jani and Marc Lieb who top the standings going into the final race.
