Sterling performance for Van Berkel in HRC debut

Comunicato Stampa disponibile solo in lingua originale.

Lars Van Berkel made a promising debut for HRC #mx2 today on the CRF250RW, in the MXGP of Europe.
At his home GP, the Dutchman came in eleventh place in qualifying today. Van Berkel had a good start out the gate and was immediately fighting for places, holding his own in a competitive class. Having only ridden the bike twice previously and with this early success, he goes into his first official race for HRC tomorrow hungry for a similar result.
Michele Cervellin didn’t have the qualifying race he had hoped for today. An early mistake in the first lap caused him to go down, leaving him at the back of the pack. The Italian managed to make his way back to 29th and will want to improve on this result in the race tomorrow.
The first race of #mx2 starts at 13:15 tomorrow local time.
Lars Van Berkel:
” I rode the bike for the first time this week and felt at home on it straight away. This is my home GP and although I never ride here to train I enjoy it when I race here. I am pleased with where I finished in the qualifying race and I hope to get a better start tomorrow to try and improve on this result”
