“Little Big Racing”: Citroën C3 WRC reveals a sizeable surprise

One week from the 86th Monte Carlo #Rally, which opens the 2018 World #Rally Championship, Citroën is presenting “Little Big Racing”, a series of 13 videos that will bring #C3 #WRC up close to the most prestigious special stages of the season’s 13 legs. True to Citroën’s creative spirit, the surprise is a sizeable one: a miniature Citroën #C3 #WRC, controlled by #krismeeke, moves through a series of décors built to 1/43 scale, more lifelike than nature itself! These short videos will be posted on Facebook before each #Rally; the Brand will also share behind-the-scenes moments with the Citroën #racing team via its daily broadcast and live coverage: #C3WRClive.

The first images don’t give a single thing away. A Citroën #C3 #WRC whips around the hairpin turns of the Col du Turini (Monte Carlo Rally) and races up a 1200-metre incline at top speed. It’s perfectly normal footage of a race, after all. But on a closer look, the video reveals another performance altogether.

With “Little Big Racing”, Citroën is launching a series of videos made with a miniature #C3 #WRC (1/43) and various sets built to 1/43 scale, impressive for their realism. Controlled by Citroën #racing driver #krismeeke, #C3 #WRC moves through the landscapes of the most prestigious special stages of each of the 13 legs of the 2018 World #Rally Championship.

Each “Little Big Racing” mock-up depicts the topography of the #WRC special stage, as well as its specific characteristics in terms of meteorology and vegetation, and is therefore faithful to the actual race conditions. Above and beyond its creative aspect, “Little Big Racing” shares a wealth of technical information related to the 13 special stages, helping viewers to better understand the #C3 #WRC performance: incline, altitude, length of jump, maximum speed, engine and brake temperature, number of tyres used, number of gear changes, etc.

Assembled one at a time, the 13 “Little Big Racing” mock-ups reproduce distinct topographies and types of vegetation, allowing viewers to easily identify the countries in which the World #Rally Championship takes place.
