Valentino Rossi back in action wearing the AGV Pista GP R which celebrates his first world championship 20 years ago
Valentino Rossi is back on the track with the SoleLuna original design 20 years after winning his first world championship title. The graphic that accompanied the rider from Tavullia on his career debut will be applied to the Pista GP R, the helmet at the top of the #racing #AGV product range.
The Dainese Group brand, together with Aldo Drudi – historic helmet designer of the nine- time world champion – has developed a #limitededition Pista GP R helmet that faithfully reproduces the graphic that was on the helmet Rossi wore in 1997 when he won his first world championship title. “It’s a beautiful helmet, I am honored that #AGV has introduced it again because it brings to mind lots of unforgettable memories and victories,” said The Doctor, who will wear the exclusive Pista GP R during winter testing in Sepang.
The historic graphic has been given a modern twist. The #AGV graphic designers and Drudi have updated the background colors: it is now the 100% carbon fiber shell that darkens the background on the side that was once painted black, and the yellow is now neon. The specially designed logo celebrating the 20th #anniversary of Valentino Rossi’s first world championship title is positioned on the chin guard and puts on a good show.

The 3,000 #AGVpistagpr 20 Years #limitededition helmets being produced will be available beginning February 2018.
