WRC 2 - FORD FIESTA R5 QUOTES RALLY DE PORTUGAL, SECTION THREE
Gus Greensmith (1st WRC 2) said:
"It's been a good but really difficult day. We had some problems with the intercom in the morning but my photographic memory helped me for half the stage – until I misremembered a corner and ended up in the barrier! Fortunately we got away with it, and this afternoon was really good. The car was working perfectly and all of a sudden we took a 30 second lead.
"As for tomorrow, I need to stay focused on the process before thinking about the outcome. The plan is to keep going as we have today – to keep pushing whilst not taking any stupid risks. I think that's the best way forward."
Pedro Heller (4th WRC 2) said:
"It's been a really challenging day but we are here in fourth place which is really great. We haven't made any mistakes and I think we just need to keep going like that tomorrow."
Nil Solans (6th WRC 2) said:
"The conditions have been really tough today so we're happy to be here at the end of the day in such a solid position. This is my first time here with this car and these tyres so there is a lot to learn. But I'm quite happy with my progress and hope to continue that tomorrow."
