Peugeot 308 by Arduini Corse is born

From the experience of the competitions, the Milanese factory has designed a "One Off" version of the 308 GTi

(Peschiera Borromeo, Mi, Italy, July 2018) – Thanks to an idea of #massimoarduini, Team Principal of the Arduini Corse factory, a new concept of road car is born, with an aggressive and typically #racing look, but conceived for the pleasure of road driving.

The 'new' #peugeot #308byarduinicorse can count on important transformations, which mainly concern the aerodynamics, the development of the control unit, the braking system and the exhaust. The technicians of the Milan factory in recent months have worked hard on the road car, focusing on further developments of the mechanical parts and the control unit in particular.

These are the details of the transformation:
Control unit: the power has been increased electronically from 272 hp to 302 hp based on the experience gained in 2016 with the #peugeot 308 Mi16, a winning car approved in the TCS Italian category and resulting from the series.
Brakes: Arduini Corse has relied on the world leader in braking systems: Brembo #racing, using self-ventilated brake discs with Ergal bell that guarantees greater stiffness when braking; Brembo brake pads mod 340. Aerodynamics: all the components are #peugeot Sport derived from the 308 #racing Cup #racing car.
Exhaust: with central single-pipe stainless steel silencer in order to optimize the interventions to the control unit and that also guarantees a particular sound.
Dimensions: Increased track width of 22 cm and reduced weight to 1205 kg
Shock absorbers: adjustable 2-way KW, 5 cm lowered Eibach springs
Wheels: 9x18" instead of wheel rims 19”, with increased offset
Tires: Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2
Fire extinguisher: can be swiveled inside the passenger side car
The road car with concept #racing, realized in a unique model, features a numbered identification plate on the central tunnel and “Arduini Corse” badges on the sides and rear car.

Massimo Arduini comments on the birth of #peugeot 308 signed Arduini Corse: "The idea, the light bulb was given to me by Stefano Accorsi, a well-known Italian actor with whom I shared some races last year and whom I had met on the occasion of his famous film "Fast as the wind". On the occasion of the numerous tests on the circuit, and in love with the 308 #racing Cup, he had repeatedly suggested to me "it is so beautiful the #racing Cup version of the #308gti that you should also do it for road use"! Having said that, we started working on the concept and we have improved what was already almost perfect without upsetting or modifying some "racing" organs such as gearbox and differential that remained standard”.
