A weekend rich with victories and podium places for the METZELER brand,
with the riders Steve Holcombe, Alex Salvini, Thomas Oldrati, Davide Guarneri,
Emanuele Facchetti, Eero Remes, Jamie McCanney, Loic Larrieu, Davide Soreca and
Andrea Verona
Methamis (France), 24 September 2018 - The splendid landscape of Provence was the setting for the
seventh round of the FIM EnduroGP World Championship which took place in Methamis, France, on the occasion of a French classic (Endurance de Methamis). The race took place in true Enduro Sprint style on both days, on a mostly hard and dusty terrain with steep and gruelling climbs and drops. The
METZELER riders were, as usual, among the main players, gaining various podium positions.
The
METZELER riders continue to dominate the
FIM EnduroGP World Championship, and on the occasion of the French Grand Prix, the overall leader was
Steve Holcombe (Team Beta Factory Enduro), winner of the Enduro GP, Day 2, and the E3 on both days of racing.
Alex Salvini (Team JET Zanardo) and
Eero Remes (TM Racing Factory Team) shared first place in the E1 on their bikes, which were fitted with
METZELER MCE 6 DAYS EXTREME tyres. Another excellent performance also from
Andrea Verona (TM Racing Factory Team) in the
Junior 1 class, collecting two splendid wins in the GP in France.
After his recent accident,
Jamie McCanney (Outsiders Yamaha Official Enduro Team) returned to the E1 class and managed to take second place on the podium on both days of racing. Excellent performance was also seen from
David Guarnieri (Team Honda RedMoto), who achieved two third places.
In the
E2 Class on both days of racing, the final podium was won by three riders fitted with
METZELER tyres.
Alex Salvini and
Eero Remes dominated the premier class and shared first place for the two days of racing.
Christophe Charlier (Team Beta Factory Enduro) won second place on Day 2, while
Loic Larrieu (Outsiders Yamaha Official Enduro Team) completed the
METZELER podium with two third places.
A double win in the
E3 class for the METZELER-supported rider Steve Holcombe. The rider for
the Beta Factory Enduro Team continued to affirm his role as class leader with a consistent lead over Christophe Nambotin and his compatriot Danny McCanney.
It was also an excellent weekend of races for
Andrea Verona, who, in the
Junior class took second place on the podium twice, additionally dominating both days of the Junior 1 with two wins, riding with
METZELER MCE 6 DAYS EXTREME tyres. An excellent third place in J2 for
David Soreca (TM Racing Factory Team).
The
FIM EnduroGP World Championship 2018 season will come to an end with the event scheduled for Saturday 13 and Sunday 14 October with the GP in Germany.
