Team Trasimeno - Beatriz Neila Santos will race in the 5th WorldSS300 round in Barcelona

The Trasimeno team are set for this weekend's fifth round of the Supersport 300 World Championship, taking place at the Catalunya-Barcelona circuit in Spain.
On this occasion, the Italian team will field an additional Yamaha YZF-R3 alongside that of Hugo De Cancellis. The second bike will be entrusted to Spanish rider #beatrizneilasantos, who won the first edition of the European Women's Cup just two weeks ago, and one race ahead of time, at the Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola.
To thank her for winning the title with maximum points, having dominated in all the races she contended, Moreno Bacchini and his staff have decided to have her compete in the two races at Barcelona. An excellent opportunity for Neila Santos, who will be able to line up with the best riders in the category and perhaps take another step up in terms of quality, in two races that are bound to be as hard fought as ever.

Moreno Bacchini – Team Principal: "We're really pleased to have Beatriz competing in the fifth round of the 300 championship. It seemed only right to thank her for having secured European Women's Cup title for us, and what better way than to have her race in the world championship, at a Spanish track? We won't be putting any pressure on her of course, as the only goal is for her to gain experience alongside world championship riders. As for De Cancellis, he's made a few mistakes along the way, partly due to his keen desire to win but he's also had some bad luck. At Barcelona, we hope he can make up for the podium he just missed out on at Motorland Aragon".

The Catalunya circuit hosts both car and motorcycle races and is located in Montmeló, twenty kilometres north-east of Barcelona. The facility was inaugurated during the 1992 Olympic Games. This is the first time that the World Superbikes are competing at this track, which has long hosted MotoGP events. The track is 4627 metres long and features eight right-hand turns and six left-handers.
