Borilli Racing on the third step of the podium in Junior 1 with Sergio Navarro in both race days
Last weekend, Saturday 19 and Sunday, June 20, in Marco de Canaveses in Portugal, the first round of the 2021 season of the Borilli FIM #endurogp World Championship took place and the Motoclub do Marco organized an extremely challenging and spectacular race.
Four special tests were scheduled to be run three times throughout the race weekend, two of them located in the same position as last year. A Cross test and #enduro test technical and fast, an Extreme test challenging and full of natural obstacles and a Super test that took place on both days of the race.
A weekend of ups and downs for the #borilliracing riders who have run the entire race weekend equipped with 7 DAYS #enduro SOFT to face a slippery and slimy ground due to the intermittent rains that have characterized the entire Portuguese round.
The Spanish rider Sergio Navarro has inaugurated the 2021 season with two excellent third positions in the Junior 1 class in both days of competition while the Brazilian rider Bruno Crivillin has run a steady race showing a good feeling with the bike and a good shape that bodes well for the continuation of the season.
Difficult race for our english rider Dan Mundell still struggling with the left hand injury that forced him to retire in both days of the race due to too much pain.
A start of the season to forget also for our top rider Alex Salvini that due to a fall in the first Cross Test during the Day 1 was forced to withdraw from the race and then to give up the second day of the race due to severe back pain.
We wish Alex and Dan a speedy recovery in view of the Italian GP next weekend.
The #enduro circus doesn't stop and after the first race in Portugal it moves to Edolo in the province of Brescia for the Italian GP scheduled for Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 June.
