Kawasaki Puccetti Racing – Oettl and Oncu use Assen practice to prepare for the races
The Cathedral of Speed. This is just one of the names by which the Assen TT Circuit in The Netherlands is otherwise known, a track at which #kawasakipuccettiracing is currently competing in the fourth Supersport World Championship round with its riders Can Oncu and #philippoettl.
The first session began this morning in cool and cloudy conditions. Both riders worked with their technicians to find the best set-up for their ZX-6R bikes around the Dutch track. With a time of 1'37"985, Oettl scored a very strong third-place finish, while Oncu closed eleventh with a time of 1'39"136.
The second free practice played out in the afternoon and while Oncu was able to improve on his earlier time (1'38"265), moving up to seventh place in the combined standings, unfortunately Oettl did not manage to better his FP1 reference (1'38"086), but still finished in fourth place overall.
Tomorrow will see the two #kawasakipuccettiracing riders compete in the Superpole followed by the first race of this fourth WorldSS round.

"A positive day. I found good feeling with my bike again and we also carried out a race simulation, which went well. Then we tried to set a good time and I was able to improve on my earlier performance. I can't wait for tomorrow and want to enjoy the race and aim for the podium".
"We made the most of today's sessions to try a few things on the bike and we were consistently fast. I'm quite pleased with fourth place, although the red flag came out just as I was on my flying lap and so that prevented me from doing any better. Tomorrow we'll continue on this path in FP3, before giving it our all in Superpole and the race".
