Race 2 in comeback for CM Racing Team and Kofler at Magny - Cours

Sunday was an upward climb for the #cmracingteam, with Maxilian Kofler taking 18th place in Race 2 at Magny - Cours and improving his position from the start. The third day of action opened with the warm up, where Kofler was able to iron out the final details ahead of Race 2 on his Ducati Panigale V2 955. Max completed 10 laps, finishing in 26th position.

Late in the morning it was time for the start of Race 2. As has been the case this season, Kofler got off to a good start from his starting position, recovering four positions during the first lap. As the race went on, the young Austrian rider tried to climb further up the classification in search of points, finishing under the chequered flag in 18th place.

After the French weekend the #cmracingteam will be back on track at the Barcelona circuit from 23 to 25 September, for the eighth round of the 2022 World Supersport Championship season.

Maximilian Kofler: "Compared to Race 1 we improved a lot, but unfortunately it wasn't enough to pick up any points. Obviously I'm disappointed: let's hope that the work done at Magny - Cours can give us some nice surprises in Barcelona".

Manuel Cappelletti (Team Director): "We finished the weekend on an upward trend, but not enough. Things are not going as we had hoped, but we absolutely must not stop trying our hardest. We will try again in Barcelona".
