Official WorldSBK and WorldSS tests at Phillip Island

Kawasaki Puccetti #racing is in #phillipisland in Australia to carry out two days of official #worldsbk and #worldss tests and to contest the first round of the two world championships.
After three intense winter testing sessions, two in Jerez de la Frontera in Spain and one in Portimao in Portugal, Manuel Puccetti's team moved to Australia, where it will hold the last two days of testing on Monday 20 and Tuesday 21 February, in preparation for the first round of the Superbike and Supersport world championships which will also take place on the #phillipisland track on the weekend of 24, 25 and 26 February.
In Supersport Can Oncu, he declared himself enthusiastic about the outcome of the winter tests, during which he was able to #test many updates, including the ride by wire device. The young Turkish rider, although still sad about the disastrous earthquake that devastated the south of his country, said he was eager to try on the Australian track all the work done in the Jerez and Portimao tests, and to compete directly with his opponents.
Superbike rider Tom Sykes has repeatedly stated that he was satisfied with the work done in winter testing and that the feeling achieved with the team bodes well for a top-level season. In the two days of testing at #phillipisland it will be a question of finding the best setting for his ZX.10RR, in order to face the first round of the championship in the best possible way.
The #phillipisland circuit is located in Australia on the island of the same name and is located in the state of Victoria. It was built in 1956 and has hosted the MotoGP World Championship since 1997, while the series-derived championships have been held there since 1990. It is rightly considered one of the most beautiful racetracks in the world, both in terms of the challenging and technical track, which due to its natural location, which has the ocean waters as a backdrop. The track is km.4.445 long and consists of 12 curves, of which 5 to the right and 7 to the left. Pole position is on the left.

Manuel Puccetti: "We worked really hard this winter and we were the private team that carried out the most tests, with the aim of being ready for the first round at #phillipisland. In the two days of official testing on the 20th and 21st we still have some new features to try on Can Oncu's ZX-6R bike, while for the ZX-10RR bike it will be a question of taking stock of the situation and defining the best set-up on this track. Oncu has been consistently fast in winter testing, improving on his own personal bests. Sykes has confirmed himself as a great professional and a great rider, and we are all very motivated and eager to face the 2023 season with him".
