Welcome Lorenzo! Dalla Porta and the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team together for the remaining rounds of WorldSSP 2023

The Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team announces that it has reached an agreement with #lorenzodallaporta, who will take to the track in the remaining rounds of the World Supersport Championship 2023. For the Italian rider it will be his WorldSSP debut, riding the Yamaha YZF-R6 of the two-time World Supersport champion team.

Born in Prato on 22 June 1997, Dalla Porta began grinding out success at the age of 15, when he won the title in the 125 talian Championship (CIV). After two seasons in the CIV Moto3, where he obtained one victory and two other podiums, he moved to the Spanish Championship (CEV) in 2015, and at the same time made his debut in the Moto3 World Championship this season, picking up his first points as early as the third GP, with a splendid eighth place.

The following year he won the CEV Moto3 title, and competed in a total of 9 races in the category's world championship, hitting the points zone several times. The permanent jump to the Moto3 world championship came in 2017, while in 2018 came his first world championship success, at Misano. 2019 is the year of consecration: thanks to four victories and a total of eleven podiums, he won the Moto3 world title. From 2020 to the first rounds of 2023 he raced in Moto2, achieving mixed fortunes, with an 11th position as his best result.

Now a new phase opens for Dalla Porta, together with the Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team. The first act will be staged at Most, from 28 to 30 July, on the occasion of the eighth round of the World Supersport Championship 2023.

I want to give my best, to obtain the results that the team and I deserve. The project is good and ambitious, so we just have to start and work hard, to improve quickly and have fun. I thank the team for the opportunity, I am really motivated".

Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal)
"I am very happy to welcome Lorenzo to our team. The first mission is to help him adapt to the category and to the tyres, and then to start improving step by step, aiming for great results. The team is ready to work hard, as it has always done, to experience a second half of the season as protagonists".
