Cremona Circuit Worldsbk 2024 "Acerbis italian round" unveiling of the new project and ticket sales

The official unveiling of the new project at Cremona Circuit for the Acerbis Italian Round WorldSBK 2024, the first historic round for the Lombardian circuit, was presented alongside the commencement of ticket sales for the event through Ticketone.

The news was announced during a video podcast, featuring the Cremona Circuit CEO, Alessandro Canevarolo, the renowned Italian journalist and commentator for the World Superbike Championship, Max Temporali, and the press & communication journalist for Cremona Circuit, Angelo Acosta.

The CEO introduced the main modifications to the current circuit, including:

-  Modifications to the existing track, in summary:

-  Update of the layout in the final sector (curves 11-12-13).

-  Increase in the total length of the circuit (to 3,768 meters).

-  Identification of four grandstand areas, designed to accommodate 25,000 spectators per day (expected 50,000 for the weekend).

-  Analysis, verification, and confirmation of paddock surfaces and box availability for the three confirmed categories (WorldSBK/WorldSSP/FIM WOMEN'S Motorcycling World Championship).

-  Preparation of two parking areas near the circuit (250,000 square meters total), FREE and within walking distance.

-  The renovation works are already in progress. Expected completion: late February 2024 (first free practice scheduled: March 2024).

The total investment for the project has been revealed to be around 8-9 million euros, spread over two years, aiming to obtain a complete sports facility to host WorldSBK for the next five years.

Official tests for the WorldSBK and WorldSSP categories are planned for 23-24th May 2024, with two dates dedicated to teams and pilots.

Cremona Circuit has decided to increase the cost of amateur free practice in 2024 by just 1.00 €, as a token of gratitude to the customers and enthusiasts who contributed to achieving this historic milestone.

The official launch of the first exclusive tickets for the Acerbis Italian Round (approximately 3,000 tickets immediately available) is communicated to start from 20/12/2023 via Ticketone. Tickets are available for "Grandstand 1" and "Grass" (the track plan is attached). The remaining tickets will be available from February 2024.

The communication concludes by confirming the urbanistic analyses that reaffirm the strategic position of the Cremona Circuit in geographical and road access terms, with easy accessibility from provincial capitals such as Cremona, Parma, Mantova, Brescia, Bergamo, Verona, Modena, and especially Milan, located just 70 minutes away. This location offers a wide range of accommodation, hospitality, and transportation services for professionals and spectators just a few kilometers from the circuit.
