ABT Sportsline invites motorsport fans to a racing party in Gurgl

At ABT Sportsline in Kempten, the "final countdown" for the new DTM season (first races on 27/28 April) and the Nürburgring 24 Hours (1/2 June) has started. The Kempten-based company and its partners are celebrating the forthcoming double opening of the GT3 season with a big fan party at 1,900 metres above sea level in Gurgl in the Ötztal valley (Tyrol, Austria).

The village centre will be dominated by ABT Sportsline's GT3 activities on Monday, 18 March. Motorsport fans can look forward to a colourful programme from 3 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. with music, interviews, autograph sessions, a pit stop challenge and many other highlights. The ABT Audi R8 LMS GT3 evo II, the new ABT XGT*, the Schaeffler DTM Innovation Taxi with steer-by-wire technology, the CUPRA DTM Safety Car, the ABT CUPRA Formentor VZ5 BAT* and the ABT RS6 Legacy Edition* will be presented in front of the Gurgl Carat congress and event centre. In the evening, ABT Motorsport Director Martin Tomczyk and his drivers will unveil the ABT Lamborghini Huracán GT3 EVO2 with its spectacular new livery for this year's Nürburgring 24 Hours as a world premiere. The grand finale will be the CUPRA x ABT Tribe Party with DJ and producer BENNETT.

Daniel Abt will interview ABT DTM drivers Ricardo Feller and Kelvin van der Linde and their racing driver colleagues from the 24-hour team at the Red Bull Event Truck in front of the Gurgl Carat. Fans can also look forward to other popular guests such as ski stars Dave Ryding and Linus Straßer, racing driver Markus Winkelhock and Norbert Haug. The former head of motorsport at Mercedes is now a motorsport consultant at ABT partner Schaeffler and is intensively involved with the question of how motorsport can remain relevant for society in the future.

Thanks to Red Bull, fans in Gurgl can also get active themselves. Red Bull is bringing its F1 Pit Stop Game to the Ötztal valley. Numerous ABT Sportsline partners will also be presenting their companies at the ABT Racing Party in Gurgl. Specialised machine manufacturer Bihler, which ABT Sports Marketing Director Harry Unflath was able to secure as a new partner for the DTM commitment, will be part of a public ABT activity for the first time.

"We were in Gurgl last year for a small DTM kick-off with Kelvin, Ricardo, Martin and Dave Ryding," says Harry Unflath. "Everyone enjoyed it so much that it has now become an event in its own right. I'd like to thank all our partners for their active support and I'm really looking forward to 18 March and hopefully lots of fans. The Ötztal is always worth a trip, but on this day, twice as much."

Gurgl is known as the 'Diamond of the Alps' for winter holidays at the highest level in combination with upscale hotels and restaurants. This combination guarantees top quality skiing at the far end of the Ötztal valley amidst mighty three-thousand metre peaks in one of the most exclusive ski resorts in the Alps. The premium destination impresses with its snow-sure altitude of 1,800 to 3,030 metres, 112 kilometres of slopes and 25 lifts, with no waiting times. Gurgl started the season for the first time in 2023 with an AUDI FIS Ski World Cup event.
