Jamie Green celebrated his first win of the season in probably the most popular international touring car series in #zandvoort (Netherlands) on Sunday. The #audi driver started the second race of the weekend from pole position and was first across the finish line after 39 laps of #racing. The race tyre provided by exclusive #dtm partner #hankook passed the unique test posed by the circuit in the dunes on the North Sea coast with flying colours, once again producing a strong overall performance.

Jamie Green had never made it onto the podium in #zandvoort before, but the #audi driver climbed onto the top step of the rostrum on Sunday. The pole-sitter led from the off and consistently extended his lead over the course of the race. The Briton eventually finished 9.731 seconds clear to claim his first win of the 2016 #dtm season. This success sees Green climb into second place in the Drivers' Championship.

Compatriot Gary Paffett (Mercedes-Benz) finished runner-up, whilst third place went to Edoardo Mortara (Audi), who also lies third in the overall standings. The best-placed BMW driver was championship leader Marco Wittmann in fourth place. This result was enough for the 2014 #dtm champion to defend his lead in the Drivers' Championship. Robert Wickens (Mercedes Benz), who won race one on Saturday, finished outside the points in 16th place and is now fourth overall.

Manfred Sandbichler, #hankook Motorsport Director Europe: "It was another eventful race with many highs and lows in #zandvoort. As it has throughout the entire season so far, the #hankook race tyre again produced an outstanding overall performance. The #dtm now takes a five-week break, before the cards are reshuffled in Moscow."

Mercedes-AMG #dtm Team HWA completed the fastest pit stop in #zandvoort in a time of 21.796 seconds. They were rewarded with 25 points towards the overall standings in the #hankook Best Pit Stop Award. The winning crew also receives three crates of beer at the coming race weekend in Moscow. At the end of the season, the exclusive tyre partner of the #dtm will reward the highest scoring – and thus the fastest team – with a coveted trophy.

Jamie Green (Audi): "The old surface and very fast, banked corners make #zandvoort one of the most difficult circuits for the tyres. We had a very good set-up and were able to control the race comfortably from the front on the #hankook race tyre after the pit stop. That was the key to our win."

Gary Paffett (Mercedes-Benz): "Second place is our best result of the season. I am very happy. The #hankook race tyre worked well in these difficult conditions. Jamie was just too quick out in front."

Edoardo Mortara (Audi): "The pace at the front of the field was very high. At first, I really struggled to match it and get in the DRS window. I tried not to put too much strain on the #hankook tyre on this difficult track, and that worked well."
