World Superbike Stars Sign Limited-Edition Akrapovič Exhausts for Charity Online Auction

Comunicato Stampa disponibile solo in lingua originale.

Akrapovič, the Slovenian exhaust specialist, donated at the recent World Superbike race at Magny-Cours in France five limited-edition exhausts exclusively signed by WSBK stars to raise money for a very worthy cause during an online auction.

Akrapovič founder and owner Igor Akrapovič attended the latest round of the WorldSBK Championship, where he was introduced on stage during the Paddock Show and then proceeded to present these unique exhausts. He was joined by 2015 WorldSBK champion and current championship leader Jonathan Rea from the Kawasaki #racing Team alongside his teammate and former world champion Tom Sykes, both of whom signed Slip-On Line (Titanium) exhausts for the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R. Also attending was double race-winner at Magny-Cours Chaz Davies from the Aruba.it Racing – Ducati Team, and he autographed the Ducati Multistrada 1200 exhaust. Sylvain Guintoli of the Pata Yamaha Official WorldSBK Team, who won the World Superbike Championship title in 2014, signed the Yamaha YZF-R1 version, and Markus Reiterberger of the Althea BMW #racing Team left his mark on the exclusive exhaust for the BMW S 1000 RR.

Akrapovič has produced these limited edition exhausts as a run of just 25 exclusive Akrapovič Slip-On Line systems to celebrate the company's 25th anniversary. It has donated these five rare exhausts in association with its partnered World Superbike teams, and they were signed by the five World Superbike stars before being given to CharityStars to auction online and generate funds for Dorna's official WSBK charity, the Fondazione Telethon (www.telethon.it), which is dedicated to funding the best research to find cures for rare genetic diseases.

These distinctive Slip-On Line exhausts are finished in black paint over an ultra-lightweight titanium muffler and all feature a unique Akrapovič signature, as well as being engraved with the special 25 logo – which is dedicated to the company's 25th anniversary – and a number that will confirm which exhaust it is and verify the rareness of each item. These are collectors' pieces, but are also all EC and ECE type-approved, and so the auction winners could fit them to their bikes and show them off in their full glory. Each exhaust has a special nano coating to make sure they also stay as good as new if they do ever get used. These are so rare, though, that they are more likely to be put on display as a work of art – because they certainly live up to that billing.

If you want to get your hands on one – or more – of these exclusive Akrapovič Slip-On Line exhausts, make sure you follow all the news from Akrapovič to give you the chance to bid on them at http://www.charitystars.com/tag/akrapovic and help Akrapovič and its World Superbike partners raise much-needed funds for such a worthy cause.
