Barcia Gets Top-Five Result at Indy in Supercross Return

Monster Energy Yamaha Factory Racing’s #justinbarcia returned from a two-race hiatus to carry the flag for the bLU cRU at Lucas Oil Stadium in #indianapolis, Indiana tonight. In front of a packed house of raucous Midwestern fans, Barcia ran a smart race to bring his YZ450F to fifth place on the night.
With his Monster Energy Yamaha Factory #racing teammate out of action while he recovers from a heel injury sustained at the Daytona Supercross, Barcia worked himself back up to speed quickly during practice and qualifying. He then went on to notch a solid, fifth-place result in his heat in spite of getting off the gate late.
In the main #event, Barcia got a decent start in sixth and moved up to fifth in short fashion, running consistent laps to maintain a top-five result all the way to the end.
Barcia and his Monster Energy Yamaha Factory #racing Team will now head back west for round 11 at CenturyLink Field in Seattle, Washington, Saturday, March 23.
