Henry Jacobi maintained his challenge for FIM World MX2 #motocross Championship honours when he finished a decisive fourth in Qualifying for tomorrow's Dutch round of the series at #Valkenswaard.

Current MX2 world number two Jacobi posted third-fastest practice time on his F&H #racing Team Kawasaki and held an early third place in the Qualifying race. An enthusiastic attempt to pass into second place saw the German slide to earth; rejoining the race ninth he regained fourth place three laps from the end to ensure a good gate-pick for tomorrow's GP motos.

Henri Jacobi: "Germany is not really a sandy country, but I have had a lot of sand riding through the winter since I joined a Dutch team; I showed today that my sand riding has improved a lot. I got a good start but when I wanted to make a pass for second position I made a small crash; I picked up my bike in ninth, and came back to fourth with quite good speed. The races tomorrow will be ten minutes longer; it will be another day but I’m quite confident for the GP motos."

F&H teammate Adam Sterry started fourth but was pushed back to sixth by a couple of local sand experts before a fall on lap eight of twelve dropped him to eleventh at the close. Darian Sanayei of Bike It DRT Kawasaki continues to rebuild strength after illness and qualified eighteenth.

Monster Energy Kawasaki Racing's Clement Desalle defied the pain from a week-old hand injury to qualify eighth for tomorrow's round of the FIM World MXGP #motocross Championship. The Belgian was content to ease his way into the weekend at the rugged sand track to the south of Eindhoven by posting fifteenth best time in practice, but both he and KRT teammate #julienlieber used #KX450 power to speed through turn one of the Qualifying race just inside the top ten. Desalle eventually worked his way forward to eighth place during the twenty-minute-plus-two lap race while Lieber, after a mid-race fall, took the chequered flag fourteenth. Alessandro Lupino posted eleventh fastest practice time on his Gebben Van Venrooy Kawasaki and qualified eighteenth for the GP motos while Tommy Searle, seventeenth in practice for the Bos Factory Team, was one place further back from twenty-eighth on lap one.
