Monster Energy #kawasakiracing Team’s #clementdesalle advanced to fourth in the FIM World #mxgp #motocross Championship after two more solid races in a rain-swept Dutch GP at Valkenswaard.

A tricky situation as riders converged from all sides through the opening chicane left the Belgian just outside the top ten on the opening lap but he moved forward emphatically with a series of decisive moves to finish sixth. The second start was even more outrageous as another rider became entangled in the rear wheel of the KX450-SR on the approach to turn one, dragging Desalle and his bike to a halt even though he did not fall; both riders lost much time before they could continue. Taking up the chase with a vengeance Desalle was already twenty-fourth at the completion of the opening lap and after ten minutes had advanced to fifteenth. Continuing a series of consistent laps in traffic he had reached eighth place ten minutes from the end of the race but further advances were no longer a realistic option as the leaderboard riders were each separated by several seconds by this stage of the demanding race. Sixth- and eighth-placed motos earnt sixth overall in the GP and the Kawasaki rider has now advanced to fourth in the championship standings after confirming his strength and ability in all track conditions.

Clement Desalle: « I’m happy to be going home safe after this tough weekend as the track was so rough due to the rain. The first #moto was decent as I started in the top ten to finish sixth, but at the second start there was a big crash and I lost a lot of time as the leg of another rider was in my rear wheel; I could come back to eighth to get a sixth overall and I’m now fourth in the points. Now let’s hope that we’ll have better weather for the next rounds."
