Akrapovič All Set to Roar Again as MotoGP Makes Comeback
Akrapovič is ready to get back into competitive action again as the long-awaited start to the 2020 MotoGP™ season gets underway this weekend at Jerez, Spain, where the roar of the Akrapovič exhausts on the bikes of the world's best racers will fill the Andalusian air.
The Slovenian performance exhaust specialist has been present in the premier class of two-wheeled #racing with exhaust systems since 2002, and it was ready for an exciting 2020 before the season was put on hold due to the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic. Now Akrapovič is fully behind the start of the season and is enthusiastic about what lies ahead. Its ethos of developing and producing bespoke lightweight performance exhaust systems for teams in MotoGP, Moto2™, and Moto3™ puts Akrapovič at the forefront of the highest level of #racing. It is this position that allows the company to develop the best systems for the road, all from experience gathered from working with the top teams such as Aprilia #racing Team Gresini, Ducati Team, Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP, Red Bull KTM Factory #racing, and Team Suzuki Ecstar, all of which will be using Akrapovič exhausts as they race for glory in this season's championship.
Akrapovič is constantly pushing the boundaries of innovative design, using state-of-the-art materials and making possible what seems impossible. It is this dedication that pushes the company on to ever greater heights as it offers an individual approach to every manufacturer to provide the edge needed in the highly driven world of MotoGP. With different engine configurations, diverse riding styles from the riders, and the need to perform in all conditions at absolute extreme levels, the challenge Akrapovič faces is intense, but it is met with a positive and forward-thinking attitude that is second to none.
When the lights change to signal the start of the first Grand Prix of 2020 in Spain in July, Akrapovič will be right there at the front – not just in terms of positions on the track, but also with respect to technical advances and development. With the unique roar from an Akrapovič exhaust system, the sound of MotoGP will be back for everyone to enjoy.

Whether it's the routing of the system, improved throttle control, or enhanced gas flow, we've studied the systems thoroughly because we've had more time in the factory, with less travelling, and so we've been able to focus on what we can achieve – not just now, but in years to come.
"The #racing R&D department has been working throughout the lockdown. Without the fast pace of #racing every weekend, we've had the opportunity to work at a less stressful pace, but also with an intensity that's not always possible during the season. During this time we were also very aware of others' experiences and that some aspects of life come first and are more important than #racing, and we want to pass on our thoughts to everyone affected during this time. Even if it's not everything, we've missed #racing, and so now we've got an opportunity to be involved in the first steps of this great sport as it returns to tracks around the world. We've missed being on the grid a lot, and now we can't wait to hear our exhausts roar as the first race gets underway in Spain."
