Kawasaki Puccetti Racing – Sesto round WorldSBK e SS al Circuito di Barcelona- Catalunya
Dopo il doppio round disputato al Motorland Aragon, il primo dei quali ha rappresentato anche il giro di boa di questo campionato 2020, in questo fine settimana il #kawasakipuccettiracing sarà impegnato al Circuit de Barcelona–Catalunya per il sesto appuntamento della stagione.
Sia in questo round che nel prossimo, che si disputerà a Magny Cours in Francia, la livrea della Ninja Superbike di Xavi #fores riporterà il logo GiVi, azienda leader nel mondo per la produzione di accessori #moto, che sarà il main sponsor del team di Manuel Puccetti in questi due importanti appuntamenti del #worldsbk.
GiVi, che prende il nome dal fondatore Giuseppe Visenzi, ex pilota di #moto oltre che grande imprenditore, conta quasi 500 dipendenti in tutto il mondo, ed i suoi prodotti sono caratterizzati da un disegn italiano, unito ad una profonda conoscenza dei materiali ed all'utilizzo di soluzioni tecnologiche inedite e di grande funzionalità.
Nella classe regina delle derivate dalla serie Xavi #fores è chiamato a confermare i progressi evidenziati nei round precedenti, mentre nel mondiale Supersport Lucas Mahias e #philippoettl, rispettivamente terzo e quarto nella classifica generale, saranno come sempre tra i protagonisti assoluti della categoria.
Il circuito di Catalogna ospita sia gare motociclistiche che automobilistiche ed è situato a Montmeló, venti chilometri a nord-est di Barcellona. L'impianto è stato inaugurato in occasione dei Giochi Olimpici del 1992. E' la prima volta in assoluto che il mondiale Superbike si disputa su questa pista, che da anni ospita una prova del mondiale MotoGP. Il tracciato è lungo 4.627 metri, con 8 curve a destra e 6 a sinistra.

"Quella di Barcellona è una pista che mi piace molto. Ci ho corso l'ultima volta nel 2013 in una gara del CEV. Ho sempre fatto molto bene al Montmelò e spero di riuscirci anche questa volta. Ritengo che la pista si possa adattare bene alle caratteristiche della nostra Kawasaki ma dovremo continuare a lavorare con il massimo impegno, per continuare a progredire e per ottenere quei risultati che sia io che la mia squadra possiamo raggiungere".
Mahias
"Sono tanti anni che non corro sulla pista di Barcellona. L'ultima volta fu nel 2012 quando disputavo il CEV Moto2. Ai tempi la pista mi era piaciuta, ma questa volta sarà tutto diverso con la mia ZX-6R. Il tracciato presenta un lungo rettilineo e sarà quindi molto importante poter sfruttare tutta la potenza del nostro motore. Quest'anno sono salito sul secondo e sul terzo gradino del podio. Anche questo weekend il nostro obiettivo sarà il podio. Meglio se sul gradino più alto".
Oettl

Kawasaki Puccetti #racing – Sixth #worldsbk and SS round at the Barcelona- Catalunya circuit
Following on from the Motorland Aragon double-header, with the Superbike field now more than half-way through its 2020 championship, #kawasakipuccettiracing now heads to the Circuit de Barcelona–Catalunya for the sixth round of the season.
At both this round and the next, which will play out at Magny-Course in France, the livery of Xavi Forés' Ninja will bear the logo of GiVi, a global leader in motorcycle accessories and the main sponsor of Manuel Puccetti's team for these two important #worldsbk rounds.
The GiVi firm, which takes its name from founder Giuseppe Visenzi, a former motorcycle rider as well as a successful entrepreneur, counts almost 500 employees around the world while its products stand out for their Italian design, extensive knowledge of the materials and the use of new and highly functional technological solutions.
In the reigning class of the production-derived series, it is hoped that Forés can continue to make progress in line with that seen in recent races, while in the Supersport class, Lucas Mahias and #philippoettl, currently third and fourth in the championship standings, are sure to be among the frontrunners once more.
The Catalunya circuit hosts both car and motorcycle races and is located in Montmeló, twenty kilometres north-east of Barcelona. The facility was inaugurated during the 1992 Olympic Games. This is the first time that the World Superbikes are competing at this track, which has long hosted MotoGP events. The track is 4627 metres long and features eight right-hand turns and six left-handers.

"I really like the Barcelona track. The last time I raced there was in 2013, a CEV race. I've always done well at Montmelò and hope to do the same this time. I think the track can suit the characteristics of our Kawasaki but we'll need to continue to give i tour all in order to keep making progress and achieve the kind of results I know me and the team are capable of."
Mahias
"I haven't ridden at the Barcelona track for many years. The last time was in 2012 when I competed in the CEV Moto2 race. I liked the track back then, but it'll be very different this time with my ZX-6R. The track has a long straight and so it will be very important to exploit the engine's full potential. This year I've been on both the second and third steps of the podium, and we're aiming for the podium again this weekend. Even better if it's the top step of course."
Oettl
"I know the Barcelona track as I raced in the Moto3 championship for many years. That was a very different bike to my Kawasaki though and so it's a bit like heading to a new track really. We're at round six already and for now I have to say that I'm pleased with my championship. I'm increasingly comfortable on the bike and with the team. I want to continue along this path again this weekend, aiming for the best possible results."
