Kawasaki Puccetti Racing – Penultimo round WorldSBK e SS sul Circuito Nevers Magny Cours in Francia
A due settimane dal sesto round che ha visto il debutto dei campionati mondiali Superbike e Supersport sulla pista di Barcelona-Catalunya, il #kawasakipuccettiracing è in viaggio per la #Francia ed in particolare all’autodromo Nevers-Magny Cours, per disputare il settimo e penultimo round del calendario 2020.
Anche in questa occasione la livrea della Ninja Superbike di Xavi Fores riporterà il logo del main #sponsor GiVi, azienda leader mondiale degli accessori #moto.
GiVi, che prende il nome dal fondatore #giuseppevisenzi, ex pilota di #moto oltre che grande imprenditore, conta quasi 500 dipendenti in tutto il mondo, ed i suoi prodotti sono caratterizzati da un disegn italiano, unito ad una profonda conoscenza dei materiali ed all’utilizzo di soluzioni tecnologiche inedite e di grande funzionalità.
I risultati di Xavi Fores nelle gare Superbike di Barcellona non hanno rispecchiato i progressi compiuti dal pilota spagnolo che spera di rifarsi in #Francia. La Supersport ha come sempre dato molte soddisfazioni alla squadra di #manuelpuccetti. In gara1 #lucasmahias è salito sul secondo gradino del #podio, mentre in gara 2 #philippoettl ha conquistato la terza posizione, andando a far compagnia sul #podio al pilota francese che ha ripetuto la posizione conquistata il giorno precedente.
Il circuito Nevers Magny Cours si trova in #Francia nel dipartimento di Nievre in Borgogna. E’ stato costruito nel 1960 ma solo negli anni 80 ha iniziato ad assumere un importanza internazionale. Negli anni il tracciato francese ha subito poche modifiche, realizzate con l’obiettivo di creare maggiori possibilità di sorpassi. Alcune curve hanno il nome di altri circuiti (Estoril, Adelaide, Imola, Nurburgring) in quanto riproducono curve presenti su quelle piste. La pista è lunga 4.411 mt. ed ha 17 curve, delle quali 9 a destra e 8 a sinistra. E’ la diciannovesima volta che l’autodromo francese ospita i mondiali delle derivate dalla serie, la prima nel 1991 ed in seguito ininterrottamente dal 2003 al 2020.

FORES: “Magny Cours è una pista che mi piace e dove negli ultimi anni ha ottenutoun terzo ed un quarto posto. E’ un tracciato che si adatta molto bene al miostile di guida e quindi spero di trovare in fretta un buon set up per la miamoto, in modo da conquistare dei buoni risultati. Siamo quasi al termine diquesta stagione così particolare, che voglio concludere nel migliore dei modi”.
MAHIAS: “Finalmente a casa! Questa è senza dubbio una delle mie piste preferitedove ho vinto sia in Supersport che nella Superstock 1000. Se si esclude il2018, quando ho ottenuto il quarto posto nella gara della Supersport, negliultimi quattro anni sono sempre salito sul #podio. Veniamo da un ottimoweekend nel quale ho ottenuto due secondi posti, ma a Magny Cours vogliovincere e ripetere il successo dello scorso anno”.
OETTL: “Quella francese è una pista completamente nuova per me, ma non sonopreoccupato sia perché ormai sono abituato a corre su tracciati nuovi e siaperché la mia squadra dispone di molti dati che mi sapranno molto utili pertrovare il miglior set up per me e per la mia #moto. Voglio continuare a fare bene e a salire sul #podio come abbiamo fatto a Barcellona”.

Two weeks after round six, which saw the Superbike and Supersport worldchampionships debut at the Barcelona-Catalunya track, Kawasaki PuccettiRacing now travels on to France, and the circuit of Nevers-Magny Cours, forthe seventh and penultimate round on the 2020 calendar.
Once again, the livery of Xavi Fores’ Ninja Superbike will bear the logo ofmain #sponsor GiVi, a global leader in the bike accessories sector.
The GiVi company, which takes its name from founder #giuseppevisenzi, aformer rider as well as a successful businessman, counts almost 500employees worldwide. The firm’s products stand out for their Italian designas well as excellent material knowledge and the use of new and highlyfunctional technological solutions.
Xavi Fores’ results in the Superbike races at Barcelona didn’t reflect therider’s progress and he hopes to remedy this in France. Supersportmeanwhile continued to bring the team great satisfaction, Lucas Mahiasreaching the second step of the podium in Race 1 before Race 2 saw #philippoettl score third position and take to the podium alongside his team-matewho again finished second.
The Nevers Magny Cours circuit is located in France, in the Nievre district ofBurgundy. It was built in 1960 but only began to take on internationalimportance in the 80s. Over the years, the French track has undergone afew modifications, carried out in order to create more opportunities toovertake. Some of the corners take the names of other tracks (Estoril,Adelaide, Imola, Nurburgring) in that they reproduce turns present at thosecircuits. The track is 4411 metres long and features 17 turns, 9 of whichright-handers and 8 left. This is the nineteenth time that the French trackwill host the production-derived series, the first races dating back to 1991following by uninterrupted visits between 2003 and 2020.
FORES: “I like the Magny Cours track and have scored a third and fourth place therein recent years. The layout suits my riding style and so I hope to quickly finda good set-up for my bike, in order to score good results. We’re nearly atthe end of this strange season, which I want to round out in the bestpossible way.”
MAHIAS: “I’m finally home! This is definitely one of my favourite tracks where I’vewon in both Supersport and Superstock 1000. Aside from 2018, when Ifinished fourth in the Supersport race, in the last four years I’ve reached the podium each time. We’re coming from a great weekend where I scored twosecond place finishes, but I want to win at Magny-Cours and repeat thesuccess of last year.”
OETTL: “The French track is a brand new one for me, but I’m not worried becauseI’m used to #racing at new tracks and also because my team has a lot of datathat will be useful in finding the right set-up for me and my bike. I want tocontinue to do well and reach the podium like we did at Barcelona.”
