La pioggia tradisce De Rosa e Fuligni nella seconda gara di Magny Cour
Il freddo e la pioggia sono stati anche oggi protagonisti della tredicesima gara del #campionatomondialesupersport, che si è disputata in tarda mattina sul circuito Nevers #magnycours in Francia.
Ieri i due piloti MV Agusta Reparto Corse, #raffaelederosa e #federicofuligni, avevano disputato la prima gara di questo weekend francese, che si è corsa sotto la pioggia e su di una pista scivolosa. De Rosa aveva ottenuto un soddisfacente quinto posto, mentre Fuligni, dopo una strepitosa rimonta, aveva tagliato il traguardo in ottava posizione.
Oggi in tarda mattinata, sulla pista bagnata dalla pioggia, si è disputata la seconda gara di questo settimo round e così come in quella di ieri ed in seguito ai risultati ottenuti in Superpole. De Rosa ha preso il via dalla seconda fila e Fuligni dalla settima, nella gara che si è disputata sulla distanza di 18 giri.
Raffaele scattava bene al via e si portava nelle prime posizioni. Purtroppo al tredicesimo giro, mentre lottava per la top 5 scivolava nel tentativo di recuperare posizioni, senza poter riprendere la gara.
Stessa sorte per Fuligni che era in piena rimonta quando a quattro giri dalla fine è scivolato alla curva sette, concludendo la sua gara nella sabbia della via di fuga.
Un vero peccato per i due alfieri MV Agusta Reparto Corse, che avranno modo di rifarsi nell'ottavo ed ultimo round del #campionatomondialesupersport che si disputerà sul circuito dell'Estoril in Portogallo, dal 16 al 18 ottobre.

Raffaele De Rosa: "Rispetto a ieri, oggi le condizioni della pista erano peggiori e questo ci ha messo in difficoltà. Sono partito bene ed ho cercato di incrementare il mio ritmo per non perdere il contatto con i primi, ma nel corso del tredicesimo giro ho perso aderenza al posteriore e sono scivolato. Forse avrei dovuto accontentarmi di un piazzamento, ma ho cercato di ottenere un buon risultato e la pista resa scivolosa dalla pioggia mi ha tradito. Mi spiace molto, soprattutto per il team che sta facendo un grande lavoro, e dopo le gare di Aragon la #moto è migliorata costantemente".
Federico Fuligni: "Sul bagnato faccio abbastanza fatica nei primi giri e quindi ho iniziato con cautela, perdendo però alcune posizioni. Da metà gara in poi ho trovato un buon feeling con la #moto ed ho iniziato a spingere forte, recuperando sul gruppetto dei piloti che mi precedevano. Purtroppo a quattro giri dalla fine, alla curva sette, sono scivolato e la mia gara si è conclusa li. Un vero peccato perché ero attorno alla decima posizione ed avrei certame te concluso nella top ten. Mi spiace soprattutto per la squadra che ha lavorato molto bene".

Cold, wet conditions again played a starring role in the thirteenth Supersport world championship race, which ran in the late morning at the Nevers #magnycours circuit in France.
Yesterday, MV Agusta Reparto Corse riders #raffaelederosa and #federicofuligni competed in the first race of the weekend, which took place in the rain and on a slippery track. De Rosa scored a solid fifth-place finish while Fuligni made a good recovery to cross the line in eighth place.
Race 2 played out in the late morning today, once again on a wet track, the riders lining up in the order they finished in Superpole. This meant De Rosa started from the second row of the grid and Fuligni from the seventh for the 18-lap race.
Raffaele made a good start and moved up towards the front. Unfortunately on lap thirteenth, while fighting for the top 5, he slipped in an attempt to recover positions, without being able to resume the race.
The same went for Fuligni who was making a strong recovery when he fell four laps from the end, at turn seven, ending his race in the run-off area.
A real pity for the MV Agusta Reparto Corse riders, who will have chance to make up for this at the eighth and final round of the Supersport world championship that will take place at Estoril in Portugal from 16-18 October.

Raffaele De Rosa: "Compared to yesterday, track conditions were worse today and this caused us problems. I started well and tried to pick up the pace so as not to lose contact with the leaders, but during lap thirteen I lost traction at the front and crashed. Maybe I should have settled for finishing, but I was trying to score a good result and the slippery track caught me out. I'm really sorry, particularly for the team as they're doing a great job and the bike has consistently improved since the Aragon races."
Federico Fuligni: "I struggle quite a lot in the first laps of a wet race and so made a cautious start, losing a few places. From mid-race on, I found good feeling and started to push harder, catching the group immediately ahead of me. Unfortunately, four laps from the end, I crashed at turn seven and my race ended there. A real shame because I was lying in around tenth position and could definitely have finished in the top ten. I'm really sorry for the team as they've worked really hard."
