Ottava posizione e tante informazioni utili per il BARDAHL Evan Bros. WorldSSP Team ed Andrea Locatelli nel primo giorno di prove ad Estoril
Si è ufficialmente aperto oggi sul tracciato di #estoril l'ultimo appuntamento del campionato #worldssp 2020, con lo svolgimento delle prime due sessioni di prove libere. La prima giornata di azione in pista è servita al BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team ed #andrealocatelli per conoscere il tracciato, assolutamente nuovo per entrambi, chiudendo con l'ottava posizione nella classifica combinata delle due sessioni.
Nelle FP1 del mattino Locatelli ha iniziato a scoprire i segreti del circuito di #estoril, risultando tra i più presenti in pista con 18 giri completati nell'arco della sessione. 1'41"947 il miglior crono del Campione del Mondo 2020, che gli è valso l'ottava posizione finale.
Nel pomeriggio ecco andare in scena le FP2. Andrea è riuscito a migliorare il proprio crono del mattino di sei decimi, compiendo 16 giri ed ottenendo alcune nuove ed utili informazioni riguardanti la pista e la propria Yamaha YZF-R6. Anche la seconda sessione di giornata si è chiusa con l'ottava posizione, che è stata di conseguenza la posizione di Locatelli nella classifica combinata delle due sessioni.
Domani #andrealocatelli ed il BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team scenderanno in pista alle ore 10.30 (ora italiana) per le FP3, mentre alle 12.40 sarà il momento della Superpole, che decreterà la griglia di partenza delle due gare in programma, la prima delle quali andrà in scena domani alle ore 16.15. La Superpole e Gara 1 saranno visibili live su Sky Sport Collection, canale 205 di Sky.

Andrea Locatelli: "Oggi abbiamo cominciato a conoscere questo nuovo tracciato, e certamente dobbiamo ancora lavorare tanto. Ho faticato ad essere veloce e costante durante entrambe le sessioni, il che è successo raramente nell'arco della stagione. Non sono preoccupato, sono consapevole che insieme alla mia squadra possiamo trovare le giuste soluzioni per migliorare le nostre prestazioni, e spero di poterlo dimostrare in pista domani".
Eighth position and a lot of useful information for the BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team and #andrealocatelli on the first day of practice in Estoril
The last round of the #worldssp 2020 championship officially opened today on the #estoril track, with the first two free practice sessions. The first day of action on track served the BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team and #andrealocatelli to get to know the track, which is absolutely new for both of them, closing with the eighth position in the combined standings of the two sessions.
In the FP1 of the morning Locatelli started to discover the secrets of the #estoril circuit, being among the most present on track with 18 laps completed during the session. 1'41"947 the best time of the 2020 World Champion, which earned him the eighth final position.
In the afternoon FP2 went on stage. Andrea managed to improve his morning time by six tenths, completing 16 laps and getting some new and useful information about the track and his Yamaha YZF-R6. Also the second session of the day ended with the eighth position, which was consequently Locatelli's position in the combined classification of the two sessions.
Tomorrow #andrealocatelli and the BARDAHL Evan Bros. #worldssp Team will be back on track at 10.30 (Italian time) for the FP3, while at 12.40 it will be time for the Superpole, which will decide the starting grid of the two scheduled races, the first of which will take place tomorrow at 16.15. The Superpole and Race 1 will be live on Sky Sport Collection, Sky channel 205.

Andrea Locatelli: "Today we began to get to know this new track, and we certainly still have a lot of work to do. I struggled to be fast and consistent during both sessions, which rarely happened during the season. I'm not worried, I'm aware that together with my team we can find the right solutions to improve our performance, and I hope I can prove it on track tomorrow".
