In 2021, a Headquarters for the maintenance and control of the COVID-19 Mitigation Plan was created in the structure of the International #silkwayrally Project. Denis Protsenko, symbol of the fight against the pandemic in #russia, one of the main specialists in the treatment of coronavirus infection in #russia and in the world, Hero of Labor of the Russian Federation, Chief Medical Officer of the SBHI Moscow City Clinical Hospital– one of the main Covid-19 centers in the country, was invited to head the Headquarters.

There are three months before the start of the #silkwayrally 11th edition. One of the world's largest cross-country competitions that is traditionally held in the middle of summer is once again ready to give the participants the joy of fighting for the victory in one of the most difficult races on the planet.
The past year has become a serious challenge for everyone who is connected with motorsports. In 2020, the #silkwayrally organizers had to cancel the 10th anniversary edition of the race. In 2021, the course has been changed – the Silk Way International #rally route will begin in the city of Omsk, #russia on 1 July. Participants will have 10 days of breathtaking adventures in the most picturesque places on the planet: across the territory of #russia and Mongolia.

Despite the inevitable difficulties associated with the race held across the territories of two neighboring friendly states under conditions of restrictions, the #silkwayrally organizers are determined to successfully implement this project at the highest sporting level, while observing all safety measures for each participant.

This is what caused the involvement of Denis Protsenko as the Head of the Headquarters for the management and control of the COVID-19 Mitigation Plan compliance at the #silkwayrally
The organizers of such a wide-scale event that will be held across the territories of the two countries have approached the issue of the race participants safety with great responsibility. The invitation of Denis Protsenko became one of the important steps in the concept of the competition epidemiological safety and in the organization of the #silkwayrally in difficult epidemiological conditions.

The inclusion of Denis Protsenko in the team of race organizers is only the beginning of the work to protect the participants of the upcoming cross-country #rally. In accordance with the COVID-19 Mitigation Plan of the FIA International Sporting Code, as well as in accordance with Russian national and local regulations, the #silkwayrally organizers have developed a "Plan to counter the spread of COVID-19 coronavirus infection" that defines a number of requirements, which will be applied throughout the cross-country #rally.

Acceptance of applications from participants is open and preparations for the race are in full swing. The 2021 Silk Way Rally will take place from 1 to 11 July along the #russia – Mongolia route as event of the FIA World Cup for Cross-Country Rallies series and  the event of the FIM Cross-Country #rally World Championship.
