Il CM Racing Team e Luca Bernardi fermati da un problema tecnico in Gara 2 ad Aragon
Giornata segnata dalla sfortuna quella odierna per il #cmracingteam, privato di un altro ottimo risultato da un problema tecnico occorso alla #moto di #lucabernardi durante Gara 2, svoltasi oggi in condizioni di bagnato sul circuito di Aragon. La domenica aragonese è stata contraddistinta sin dalle prime ore dal maltempo, con un drastico calo delle temperature e l'arrivo della pioggia a bagnare la pista. In queste condizioni inedite il debuttante #lucabernardi è sceso in pista per il warm up, sfruttato principalmente per fare esperienza e concluso in 15° piazza.
Forti delle informazioni tratte in mattinata Bernardi ed il #cmracingteam sono scesi in pista per Gara 2, per la quale ha giocato un ruolo decisivo o perlomeno preponderante la scelta delle gomme, vista la condizione di leggero bagnato presente sul tracciato. Il team di Alessio Cavaliere ha deciso di equipaggiare la #moto di Luca con una coppia di gomme da bagnato, traendone beneficio sin dai primi giri.
Scattato dalla nona casella in seguito all'assenza di Tuuli (dichiarato unfit per la corsa), Bernardi ha subito iniziato a recuperare posizioni, transitando sesto sul traguardo al termine del primo giro e quinto al termine del terzo. Nel giro successivo però un piccolo inconveniente tecnico ha costretto il sammarinese a fermarsi ai box, salvo poi rientrare per cercare di racimolare punti.
Compresa l'impossibilità della missione, Bernardi ha preferito rientrare definitivamente ai box, dicendo così addio alla corsa ed incassando il primo zero in campionato. Nonostante l'esito negativo della gara odierna il #cmracingteam può archiviare senza dubbio positivamente il suo primo fine settimane nel campionato WorldSSP, avendo ottenuto una splendida quarta piazza in Gara 1 ed essendo sin da subito entrato nel novero delle squadre protagoniste.
Al termine del primo round Bernardi occupa la nona posizione in campionato con 13 punti, a sole cinque lunghezze dalla quinta piazza. Il #cmracingteam ed il talento sammarinese torneranno in pista già nel prossimo fine settimana per il secondo appuntamento della stagione, in programma sul circuito di Estoril, in Portogallo.

Luca Bernardi: "Oggi mi sono sentito veloce sul bagnato, ma un problema tecnico mi ha costretto a rientrare prima del previsto ai box. In generale sono davvero convinto che io ed il team abbiamo il giusto potenziale per conquistare ottimi risultati, e cercheremo di dimostrarlo nuovamente già ad Estoril. Si tratterà di una pista completamente nuova per me, ma la sfida non mi spaventa. Ringrazio il #cmracingteam per il grande lavoro svolto nell'arco della tre giorni: siamo un grande gruppo con grandi ambizioni".
Manuel Cappelletti (Team Director): "Abbiamo vissuto un weekend agrodolce. Ieri Luca ha dimostrato tutto il suo talento, centrando una bellissima quarta posizione, mentre oggi un piccolo problema tecnico ci ha impedito di giocarci le nostre carte fino in fondo. Gara 2 ci ha permesso di vedere Bernardi in azione sul bagnato, dove ha dimostrato di poter brillare, il che ci permette ancora di più di ben sperare per il futuro. Ora ci attende un tracciato che Luca non ha mai visto, quindi l'obiettivo primario è quello di fare esperienza, sia per quanto riguarda lui che la squadra. Questa nuova avventura è solo all'inizio, e siamo molto fiduciosi".
CM #racing Team and #lucabernardi stopped by a technical problem in Race 2 at Aragon
A day marked by bad luck today for the #cmracingteam, deprived of another excellent result by a technical problem occurred to Luca Bernardi's bike during Race 2, held today in wet conditions on the Aragon circuit. The Aragonese Sunday has been characterized since the early hours by bad weather, with a drastic drop in temperature and the arrival of rain to wet the track. In these unprecedented conditions the rookie #lucabernardi took to the track for the warm up, mainly used to gain experience and finished in 15th place.
Strengthened by the information gained in the morning Bernardi and the #cmracingteam took to the track for Race 2, for which has played a decisive role or at least preponderant the choice of tyres, given the condition of light wet on the track. Alessio Cavaliere's team decided to equip Luca's bike with a pair of wet tyres, benefiting from the first laps.
Starting from the ninth box after the absence of Tuuli (declared unfit for the race), Bernardi immediately began to recover positions, crossing the line sixth at the end of the first lap and fifth at the end of the third. On the next lap, however, a small technical problem forced the San Marino rider to stop in the pits, only to return later to try to collect points.
Having realised that the mission was impossible, Bernardi preferred to return to the pits, saying goodbye to the race and collecting his first zero in the championship. Despite the negative outcome of today's race the #cmracingteam can undoubtedly file its first weekend in the WorldSSP championship in a positive way, having obtained a splendid fourth place in Race 1 and having immediately become one of the leading teams.
At the end of the first round Bernardi occupies the ninth position in the championship with 13 points, just five lengths from fifth place. The #cmracingteam and the San Marino talent will be back on track next weekend for the second round of the season, scheduled at the Estoril circuit in Portugal.

Luca Bernardi: "The weekend was quite positive, for many reasons. Today I felt fast in the wet, but a technical problem forced me to return to the pits earlier than expected. In general I'm really convinced that me and the team have the right potential to get good results, and we will try to prove it again in Estoril. It will be a completely new track for me, but the challenge doesn't scare me. I would like to thank the #cmracingteam for the great work done over the three days: we are a great group with great ambitions".

Yesterday Luca showed all his talent, achieving a beautiful fourth position, while today a small technical problem prevented us from playing our cards right to the end. Race 2 allowed us to see Bernardi in action on the wet, where he has shown to be able to shine, which allows us to hope even more for the future. Now we're looking forward to a track that Luca has never seen, so the main aim is to gain experience, both for him and for the team. This new adventure is only just beginning, and we are very confident".
