Comunicato Stampa disponibile solo in lingua originale.

Matthew Wilson, M-Sport Director and Chief Test Driver, will make the British debut of the four-wheel drive Fiesta Rally3 on the M-Sport Stages in Greystoke Forest this weekend (July 2-3).

Son to Malcolm Wilson and with rallying running through his veins, former WRC driver Matthew was an integral part of the Fiesta Rally3's development. Drawing from his vast wealth of experience, Matthew was able to steer the development of the Fiesta Rally3 to form the perfect entry-level four-wheel drive #rally car.

The M-Sport Poland-built Fiesta Rally3 completes M-Sport's 'Ladder of Opportunity', highlighting the marque's commitment to ensuring every driver of every capability is catered for under one roof, with a particular emphasis on young drivers. It is a cost-effective #rally car homologated to the FIA's new Rally3 technical regulations and has seen success around Europe despite only being homologated three months ago. Ken Torn and Jon Armstrong were able to demonstrate the Fiesta Rally3's incredible pace on #rally Poland, outpacing Rally2-Kit and Group N cars by over 1.7 seconds per kilometer while mixing it up with Rally2 drivers in the European #rally Championship. While performance was well underlined in Poland, Jeremy Wahome was able to Prove the Fiesta Rally3's endurance and reliability on Safari #rally Kenya, finishing 16th overall in some of the harshest conditions the World #rally Championship has seen in almost 20 years.

This weekend will be the first opportunity for those in British rallying to catch the Fiesta Rally3 in the flesh on home soil. The Rally3 category was outlined for use in national championships from the beginning so it's Greystoke outing  is a significant step for British rallying.

M-Sport Director and Chief Test Driver, #matthewwilson, said:
"I'm thrilled to be making the Fiesta Rally3's British debut this weekend on the M-Sport Stages which is based on stages I know very well. It's a car I know well and am really excited about driving through Greystoke in. I'll be really interested to see how it compares in relation to Rally4 and Rally2 in Greystoke. I think in the right pair of hands this car is capable of great results like we saw in Poland a few weeks ago, most importantly it's good to be able to demonstrate this car on British stages as I think the Rally3 category is a significant step for domestic #rally championships around the world."
