L'Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team a caccia di punti importanti a Magny - Cours
E' tempo di tornare in pista per l'Evan Bros. #WorldSSP Yamaha Team, che questo fine settimana sarà di scena sul tracciato di Magny – Cours, per il settimo appuntamento del campionato mondiale Supersport 2021. La pista francese rappresenta uno dei punti fermi dell'universo WorldSBK, data la sua continuativa presenza in calendario dalla stagione 2003.
Per #stevenodendaal Magny – Cours è sinonimo di buone prestazioni. Nella sua stagione di debutto in categoria (2020) infatti il pilota sudafricano ha raccolto in Francia un quarto ed quinto posto, che spera di migliorare nel weekend alle porte. Steven arriva a questo round forte dei due ottimi podi conquistati nello scorso appuntamento di Navarra, e punta a recuperare punti in ottica classifica di campionato, dove occupa la seconda posizione con 210 punti.
Pronto a farsi valere è anche #petersebestyen, alla sua quarta gara insieme all'Evan Bros. #WorldSSP Yamaha Team. Dopo aver raccolto importanti informazioni negli scorsi tre round, Peter ed il team hanno l'obiettivo primario di trovare il perfetto assetto per la Yamaha YZF-R6 numero 56, che aiuti pilota ungherese a dimostrare tutto il suo potenziale.
L'Evan Bros. #WorldSSP Yamaha Team occupa attualmente la seconda posizione nella classifica riservata alle squadre, e cercherà in Francia di rafforzare tale piazzamento. Il weekend di Magny - Cours scatterà come di consueto venerdì, con i primi due turni di prove libere. Sabato sarà il momento della Superpole e di Gara 1, mentre domenica Gara 2 completerà il programma del fine settimana. Per quanto riguarda l'Italia la Superpole e le due gare saranno visibili live su Sky Sport MotoGP, canale 208 di Sky.

Steven Odendaal: "L'anno scorso sul bagnato di Magny – Cours ho conquistato il mio miglior risultato stagionale, quindi ho dei bei ricordi. Anche quest'anno il meteo sarà una variabile importante, ma a prescindere da ciò sono molto fiducioso. Io e la squadra inizieremo a lavorare duramente sin da subito, poi potremo iniziare a capire il nostro potenziale".
Peter Sebestyen: "Non vedo l'ora di tornare in sella. Penso che in Gara 2 a Navarra abbiamo trovato alcune soluzioni molto importanti in termini di assetto, quindi sono molto carico. Magny – Cours è una pista che mi piace, e dove ho ottenuto buoni risultati: sono sicuro che se continueremo a lavorare nella direzione giusta saremo presto al top. Personalmente mi sto preparando al massimo sia fisicamente che mentalmente, per essere nella migliore condizione possibile".
Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal): "Magny – Cours è una bella pista, dove spesso il maltempo fa la sua comparsa. Quest'anno corriamo un mese prima del solito, quindi le probabilità di avere bel tempo sono maggiori. Steven ha bisogno di recuperare punti su Aegerter, quindi cercheremo di metterlo nelle migliori condizioni per farlo, mentre Peter penso possa puntare nuovamente alla top ten: conosce la pista ed è molto motivato".
Evan Bros. #WorldSSP Yamaha Team hunting for important points at Magny - Cours
It's back on track time for the Evan Bros. #WorldSSP Yamaha Team at Magny - Cours this weekend, for the seventh round of the 2021 World Supersport Championship. The French track is one of the cornerstones of the WorldSBK universe, having been on the calendar continuously since the 2003 season.
For #stevenodendaal Magny - Cours is synonymous of good performances. In his debut season in the category (2020) the South African rider picked up a fourth and fifth place in France, which he hopes to improve on over the coming weekend. Steven arrives at this round on the strength of the two excellent podiums he scored at the last round in Navarra, and is aiming to make up points in the championship standings, where he holds the second position with 210 points.
Peter Sebestyen, in his fourth race with the Evan Bros. #WorldSSP Yamaha Team, is also ready to make his mark. Having gathered valuable information over the past three rounds, Peter and the team's main objective is to find the perfect set-up for the number 56 Yamaha YZF-R6, to help the Hungarian rider show his full potential.
The Evan Bros. #WorldSSP Yamaha Team is currently second in the team standings and will be looking to strengthen that position in France. The Magny - Cours weekend will start as usual on Friday, with the first two free practice sessions. Saturday will be time for the Superpole and Race 1, while Sunday Race 2 will complete the weekend's programme. As for Italy, the Superpole and the two races will be visible live on Sky Sport MotoGP, channel 208 of Sky.

Steven Odendaal: "Last year in the wet at Magny - Cours I got my best result of the season, so I have good memories. Also this year the weather will be an important variable, but regardless of that I am very confident. The team and I will start to work hard right away, then we can begin to understand our potential".
Peter Sebestyen: "I can't wait to get back on the bike. I think that in Race 2 at Navarra we found some very important solutions in terms of set-up, so I'm very excited. Magny - Cours is a track I like, and where I have obtained good results: I'm sure that if we continue to work in the right direction we'll soon be at the top. Personally, I'm preparing myself to the maximum, both physically and mentally, to be in the best possible condition".
Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal): "Magny - Cours is a nice track, where bad weather often makes an appearance. This year we race a month earlier than usual, so the chances of good weather are higher. Steven needs to make up points on Aegerter, so we'll try to put him in the best condition to do so, while Peter I think can aim for the top ten again: he knows the track and is very motivated".
