Niente pause: L’Evan Bros. WorldSSP Yamaha Team a Jerez per il nono round della stagione
Prosegue a gonfie vele la stagione dell'Evan Bros. #worldssp Yamaha Team, che dopo l'impegno di #barcellona della settimana scorsa è sbarcato al circuito "Angel Nieto" di #jerez de la Frontera, per l'appuntamento numero nove del campionato #worldssp 2021. Sia Steven Odendaal che Peter Sebestyen arrivano in Andalusia motivati, e pronti a ben figurare.
Dopo il primo weekend stagionale senza podio Odendaal è in cerca di riscatto, e punta deciso a recuperare ulteriore terreno nei confronti della vetta in classifica generale, dove continua ad occupare la seconda posizione con 257 punti, 45 in meno del leader Aegerter. Nella passata stagione il sudafricano ha sfiorato la top five in quel di #jerez, un risultato che Steven punta senza dubbio a migliorare. La voglia di riscatto guida anche Sebestyen, che a #barcellona dopo una ottima nona piazza in Gara 1 non è riuscito ad andare oltre la 15° piazza in Gara 2, nonostante un ottimo passo. Quest'ultimo e la crescita dal punto di vista tecnico saranno le base da cui il pilota ungherese potrà costruire il suo weekend andaluso, alla ricerca delle posizioni di rilievo e di punti importanti. L'Evan Bros. #worldssp Yamaha Team giunge a #jerez occupando la terza posizione nella classifica riservata alle squadre, con soli 14 punti da recuperare nei confronti della seconda piazza. Il weekend di #jerez si aprirà come di consueto venerdì, con i primi due turni di prove libere. Sabato sarà il momento della Superpole e di Gara 1, che scatterà alle 15.15, mentre domenica Gara 2 (ore 12.30) completerà il programma del fine settimana. Per quanto riguarda l'Italia la Superpole e le due gare saranno visibili live su Sky Sport MotoGP, canale 208 di Sky.

Steven Odendaal: "Gli ingredienti per essere veloci a #jerez non mancano, quindi dobbiamo essere positivi. Ci sono in palio punti importanti per il campionato: per prima cosa serve restare concentrati, trovando l'assetto migliore già dalle prime prove, per poi spingere al massimo per ottenere quello che vogliamo in Superpole e nelle gare".
Peter Sebestyen: "Mi sento davvero fortunato e felice al pensiero di correre prima a #barcellona e poi a #jerez in due settimane. Amo #jerez e ho dei bei ricordi, quindi affronto il weekend con serenità: è un tracciato dove l'aderenza può mutare tanto in base alle condizioni, quindi serve attenzione. Stiamo lavorando nel modo giusto, per trovare quei dettagli fondamentali per essere in gradi di lottare per le prime posizioni. L'obiettivo è quello di essere vicini alla vetta sin da subito, reagendo con prontezza agli eventuali cambi di condizione".
Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal): "Personalmente mi piace tanto #jerez, quindi mi piacerebbe che sia Steven che Peter lottassero per le prime posizioni. Abbiamo tanti dati da cui partire, per ottenere il miglior assetto il prima possibile e mettere entrambi nelle migliori condizioni. Odendaal deve puntare al podio e alla vittoria, e credo che anche Peter possa ambiare a qualcosa di più della top ten. Sono molto fiducioso, so che faremo un ottimo lavoro".
The Evan Bros. #worldssp Yamaha Team's season continues to go from strength to strength as they hit the "Angel Nieto" circuit at #jerez de la Frontera for round nine of the 2021 #worldssp championship. Both Steven Odendaal and Peter Sebestyen arrive in Andalusia motivated, and ready to do well. After the first weekend of the season without a podium finish Odendaal is looking for redemption, and is determined to make up further ground on the top of the general standings, where he continues to occupy second position with 257 points, 45 less than leader Aegerter. Last season the South African came close to a top five finish at #jerez, a result that Steven is undoubtedly aiming to improve. The desire for redemption also drives Sebestyen, who in Barcelona after an excellent ninth place in Race 1 was unable to go beyond 15th place in Race 2, despite an excellent pace. The pace and the growth from a technical point of view will be the basis from which the Hungarian rider will be able to build his Andalusian weekend, in search of top positions and important points. The Evan Bros. #worldssp Yamaha Team arrive at #jerez in third position in the team standings, with just 14 points to make up for second place. The #jerez weekend will start as usual on Friday, with the first two free practice sessions. Saturday will be time for the Superpole and Race 1, which will start at
15.15, while Sunday Race 2 (12.30) will complete the weekend's programme. As for Italy, the Superpole and the two races will be visible live on Sky Sport MotoGP, channel 208 of Sky.

Steven Odendaal: "The ingredients to be fast in #jerez are there, so we have to be positive. There are
important points at stake for the championship: first of all we need to stay focused, finding the best
set-up in the first practice sessions, and then push hard to get what we want in Superpole and in the
races".
Peter Sebestyen: "I feel really lucky and happy at the thought of #racing first Barcelona and then #jerez in a week. I love #jerez and I have good memories there, so I'm looking forward to the weekend with confidence: it's a track where the grip can change a lot depending on the conditions, so you need to be careful. We are working in the right way, to find those fundamental details to be able to fight for the
first positions. The goal is to be close to the top right from the start, reacting quickly to any changes of conditions".
Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal): "Personally I like #jerez a lot, so I'd like both Steven and Peter to fight for the top positions. We have a lot of data to start from, to get the best set-up as soon as possible and put both of them in the best conditions. Odendaal has to aim for the podium and the win, and I think Peter can aim for more than just the top ten. I'm very confident, I know we will do a great job".
