Return to Austin: Last weekend, the USA hosted Formula One for the second time this year. It was the tenth time that a Grand Prix has been contested at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, a track on which no driver has secured as many victories as Lewis Hamilton (five). On this occasion, Lewis again put in a strong performance and even managed to lead the race for nine laps until Max Verstappen overtook him on lap 50. Lewis's P2 finish was his seventh podium of the season and the team's 14th of the year. George fought his way back to the front after a collision with Carlos Sainz at the first corner of the race and a subsequent five-second penalty to finish the US Grand Prix in fifth place. He also set the fastest race lap on the run-in to the chequered flag. The Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team banked a respectable 29 points at Austin and reduced the deficit on Ferrari, who are currently second in the team standings, by 14 points.

Mexico, here we come: From Texas, the F1 teams and drivers proceed directly to Mexico City for the third-to-last race of the 2022 season. The Mexico City Grand Prix was restored to the #racing calendar in 2015, and this year's race will be the 22nd such event. Max Verstappen was last year's victor at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez, and the Red Bull driver holds the record for wins at this venue (three). Lewis has triumphed on two occasions, and the team also has Nico Rosberg to thank for a third success back in 2015 when the track was making its comeback. No fewer than five teams share the record for wins in Mexico City - Lotus, McLaren, Williams, Red Bull and Mercedes have each scored three. Honda leads the way among the engine manufacturers, with five victories compared to Ford and Mercedes on three each. The track record is held by Daniel Ricciardo in a time of 1:14.759 minutes (Red Bull, 2018), while the fastest race lap so far was set by Valtteri Bottas last year in the W12.

Raffaele Marciello and Mercedes-AMG wrap up drivers' championship in the ADAC GT Masters: Raffaele Marciello (SUI) secured the drivers' title on the final weekend of the 2022 ADAC GT Masters hosted by the Hockenheimring. A P5 for his number 48 Mercedes-AMG GT3 in Saturday's race was enough for the Mercedes-AMG driver to clinch the title with one race to spare. His MANN-FILTER Team LANDGRAF employers finished the season as runners-up in the team standings. A convincing victory in Sunday's race for Jules Gounon (FRA) and Fabian Schiller (GER) in the number 4 Mercedes-AMG GT3, their fourth win of the season, elevated the Drago #racing Team ZVO duo to third place in the drivers' classification.

Podium and class win in the official eighth round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series: The two Mercedes-AMG GT3s entered by Schnitzelalm #racing made an impressive recovery in Saturday's NLS8. After starting the four-hour race from P12 and P16 on the grid, they steadily worked their way through the field. Marek Böckmann, Kenneth Heyer and Marcel Marchewicz in the number 11 car eventually crossed the finish line in third place, with Carrie Schreiner and Peter Terting in the number 2 sister car close behind in fourth. Andreas Patzelt and Janis Waldow (both GER) in the #177 Mercedes-AMG GT4 fielded by Waldow Performance meanwhile ran out winners in the SP10 class. The last race event of the season (5 November) will now be the NLS2, postponed from earlier in the year.

One overall and three class wins in GT World Challenge Australia: Broc Feeney (AUS) and Prince Jefri Ibrahim (MAS) in the #888 Triple Eight Race Engineering Mercedes-AMG GT3 shrugged off a 15-second penalty imposed for an incident at the start to win Saturday's round of GT World Challenge Australia at The Bend Motorsport Park. The two of them went on to take their third win of the season after qualifying on pole. The number 88 sister car finished third. Mercedes-AMG Customer #racing teams contributed further victories in all classes in this fifth round of the season. In the AM classification, Ross Poulakis of Harrolds #racing took the win, with Michael Sheargold and Garth Walden (all AUS) of RAM Motorsport chipping in to make it a one-two for the brand. Mark Griffith and Nash Morris (both AUS) of Daimler Trucks Brisbane and Harrolds Racing's Christos Batzios (GRE) and Sam Brabham (AUS) obliged with the same result in the GT4 class. Sergio Pires and Marcel Zalloua (both AUS) of Valmont #racing won the GT Trophy. The second race of the weekend had to be cancelled following a marked deterioration in the weather conditions.

Rob Boston #racing seal championship with lights-to-flag victory at Donington Park: Tom Jackson and Wayne Marrs (both GBR) crowned a remarkable season with the British Endurance Championship title. In a thrilling season finale at Donington Park over a duration of two hours, the Rob Boston #racing duo in the #160 Mercedes-AMG GT3 took a comfortable lights-to-flag victory in the final race of the campaign, a result that handed them the drivers' title by a two-point margin.

Nova Race secure Italian GT Championship GT4 title with a brace of one-two wins: On the final weekend of the 2022 Italian GT Championship, Nova Race clinched the championship in style with a couple of one-two wins in the GT4 category. In the two 50-minute races, Filippo Bencivenni and Fulvio Ferri (both ITA) in the #228 Mercedes-AMG GT4 recorded two class wins. On both occasions, they were followed across the finish line by Diego Di Fabio (ITA) and Aleksander Schjerpen (NOR) in the #207 sister car. The final result in the GT4 PRO-AM drivers' standings has Bencivenni, Ferri and Schjerpen sharing the honours on identical points.
