Valtteri Bottas’s fan-designed helmet and Acer conceptd 7 mobile workstation to be auctioned off in support of Save the Children

A helmet sported at last month’s Mexican Grand Prix by #alfaromeof1teamorlen driver #valtteribottas will then be auctioned off, alongside an Acer ConceptD 7 mobile workstation in the same design, to raise awareness and funding for Save the Children, the leading children’s rights organization in the world.
Earlier this year, fans all over the world were encouraged to get creative and realize a special helmet design for the Finnish driver through “Valtteri’s Creator Challenge”, a competition launched in collaboration with #alfaromeof1teamorlen technical partner Acer, with the aim of helping children in need: inspired by fans, made for Valtteri.
The winning design, selected by Valtteri himself together with Frédéric Vasseur, #alfaromeof1teamorlen Team Principal, and #hajoblingen, Vice President, Acer EMEA Marketing, was unveiled by the Finn at the most colourful race of the season, the Mexican Grand Prix, with the replica helmet subsequently auctioned off together with a powerful Acer ConceptD mobile workstation featuring the same design, with all funds going to Save the Children.

Choosing between all the designs was a tough job, as all of them were unique in their own way. When I was asked to collaborate with Acer on this project, I got onboard with it right away: it was the perfect occasion to showcase a new, beautiful helmet design and at the same time do good for children in need. I personally really like the design we chose, as it perfectly resounds with the project itself.”
