Cody Webb wins the Grinding Stone, Mario Roman victorious in Oviedo, Antoine Magain second in the Val de Lorraine Classic, Benoit Bincaz and Adam Raga finish 5th and 6th in X-Trial!

This past weekend, the Sherco Factory Racing Team riders participated in several events: the 3rd round of the AMA Hard Enduro championship in the USA, the Spanish Extreme Enduro Championship, the Val de Lorraine Classic in France, and the third round of the X-trial World Championship.

The Grinding Stone Hard Enduro (United States):

The 3rd round of the AMA Hard Enduro championship, the "Grinding Stone"; lived up to its reputation with a very technical course.

Saturday night began with the prologue in downtown Page, Arizona.

The 32 selected riders competed in an "American-style" elimination format, until there are only two left. These were the two official Sherco riders who made it to the final. Cody Webb won this first stage ahead of his teammate Cooper Abbott.

On Sunday, the riders set off in waves of five on a technical and trials type course. At the end of the two hours of racing, Cody Webb took the victory, Cooper Abbott finished ninth.

In the women's pro category, Sherco riders Hallie Marks and Addy Albrecht moved up respectively to the 1st and 3rd steps of the podium.

Cody Webb: "This race was so intense! Whether it was the time, rhythm or track, everything was difficult. I'm really satisfied to string together the victories and to close a little gap in the overall ranking. The track was very tricky and overcame many riders today. I managed to start out relatively well. I showed patience, and I was able to find the right rhythm, even though if it was high from the start, I managed to choose the right lines and I used my trials skills a lot throughout this very

technical course. I'm so happy with the result and it's satisfying for the whole team."
Spanish Hard Enduro Championship

The Spanish Hard Enduro Championship took place in Asturia, near Oviedo. It was a long and very difficult event with wet conditions which forced the riders to give... 200%.

Madrid's Mario Román, who was back for the occasion to race in the Spanish Hard Enduro Championship won both days and the general classification of the event.

The next round of the Spanish Hard Enduro Championship will take place in Alquife,

Granada, the weekend of April 6 and 7.

Val de Lorraine Classic (France):

The 23rd edition of the Val de Lorraine Classique launched the opening of the classic enduro season in France.

The weather was capricious, very changeable, and unpredictable during both days. The 350 km route included 12 timed special stages.

Antoine Magain, who came as a guest, demonstrated that he was a competitor who thrived on this kind of course in these conditions. He finished second in the general classification.

Antoine Magain: "I am happy with this second place after a weekend in such wet conditions. The stages were very slippery. It was difficult to find traction and to keep pace with the first two riders who were classics specialists. I fought until the end and managed to win two great stages on

Sunday which allowed me to finish second overall. It was really close until the end with Alexis Beaud who had a very good weekend!"

X-Trial World Championship:

A week after Chalon-Sur-Saône, the X-Trial World Championship stopped in Nice, for the third round.

Benoit Bincaz had a good first lap, finishing third, but his luck did not hold and his chance to obtain the podium in the final flew away in the last zone of the second round. He finished fifth in the event.

Adam Raga had an excellent third round, but two errors in the first cost him the podium, he finished 6th in the final ranking.

Benoit Bincaz and Adam Raga leave Nice with equal points in the provisional Championship:

Benoit Bincaz P5 (14 points)

Adam Raga P6 (14 points)

The fourth round of the season will be held in Geneva on May 4.

Benoit Bincaz: "The third round of this world championship took place at my home in Nice. I can only be proud of having fought for the podium throughout the evening but missing it by so little is very frustrating. I am still very satisfied with my performance, the podium is getting closer, and I hope to taste it very soon!"

Adam Raga: "I was third in the second round, but I made two mistakes in the first and I finally finished 6th. I had very good feelings with the bike. The competition level is very hard and the slightest piloting error is punished by loss of positions in the end."
