Jaguar TCS Racing pre-race media advisory: R8, Monaco, 27 April

Comunicato Stampa disponibile solo in lingua originale.

Jaguar TCS Racing currently lead the Teams' World Championship with 128 points, with Nick Cassidy and Mitch Evans fourth and seventh respectively in the drivers' standings.

The E-Prix will see Monaco residents Nick and Mitch back on the track where they finished first and second respectively last season – also a one-two Jaguar powertrain finish.

Jaguar TCS Racing will hold a press conference in Emotion Club at 15:00 CET on Friday 26 April. The 2024 Monaco E-Prix will start at 15:03 local time (BST +1 hour) on Saturday 27 April.

James Barclay, Managing Director, JLR Motorsport and Jaguar TCS Racing Team Principal: "The Monaco E-Prix is one of the most anticipated races on the Formula E calendar and is without doubt a sporting highlight for all motorsport fans. It is a race that everyone looks forward to and wants to be successful at given the Principality's history in motorsport and its iconic status. The track is perfect for Formula E and we have seen some phenomenal races in the last few years. It is also a fantastic backdrop to gather with our partners and guests in an arena that showcases our sport and the future of mobility in the best possible way.

"Monaco is a challenging race to manage though. Qualifying will be really important, a robust race strategy is vital as the track is energy sensitive, and overtaking is very much possible. The championship is tight at the top, so it is important we get all elements right this weekend to ensure a strong result."

Mitch Evans, Jaguar TCS Racing driver, #9: "Monaco is like a home race for me. I can't think of a better backdrop for a motorsport race, though the track is pretty unforgiving and can be very challenging in places. I had a strong result here last season finishing second, sharing the podium with Nick. We're hoping we can lock out the podium with Jaguars once again this season."

Nick Cassidy, Jaguar TCS Racing driver, #37: "Monaco is always a special event on the calendar for us as drivers. Winning in Monaco last year was one of the most special moments in my career. It's an iconic venue, and a truly incredible track to race on. After last year's performance, I know the Jaguar powertrain performs well on this circuit. I'm hoping for a clean race around the tight Monaco streets again in Season 10, to continue pushing at the top of the championship."
