The rollercoaster of Portimao awaits the Evan bros. WorldsSSP Yamaha Team

A weekend of fire is in store for the #evanbrosworldsspyamahateam, who will take to the track at Portimao, Portugal, from Friday. The Portuguese round marks the end of European races for the 2022 season, which will in fact end with an intense trio of overseas rounds.

Lorenzo Baldassarri arrives at Portimao in great form, as confirmed by the four podiums obtained in the last three rounds. The Italian rider is looking for precious points for the overall standings, where he occupies second position, with 36 points to make up towards the top.

Also in search of important results is #petersebestyen, also eager for revenge after the difficulties encountered in Barcelona. The number 56 has already shown that he can be very fast during the season, and is therefore ready to show himself in the upper parts of the classification.

In the team classification the #evanbrosworldsspyamahateam occupies second position, with 321 points. The weekend's program will open on Friday, with the two free practice sessions scheduled for 12.25 and 17.00 Italian time, while on Saturday it will be time for Superpole (11.25) and Race 1 (16.15). On Sunday the program will end with Race 2, scheduled at 13.30.

Lorenzo Baldassarri: "We're looking forward to a track that I like a lot, where I also enjoyed riding in Moto2. It's an important round, as it's the last one before flying overseas: we can certainly have our say, so I'm looking forward to the rollercoaster of Portimao!".

Peter Sebestyen: "Portimao is one of the most exciting tracks on the calendar, on which I have often been fast. After the last few rounds we have to understand a few things, as I have alternated good and bad moments: I think I can have a good weekend. I am ready, both physically and mentally, so I start the weekend with positive vibes".

Fabio Evangelista (Team Principal): "We approach the Portimao round with great determination, and with the aim of doing very well with both Lorenzo and Peter. In the past we have been fast in Portugal, so I think we can also get good results this time: we want to keep this beautiful 2022 championship open".
